Who we are (and aren't)
Can I Park? is an independent, community-built website showing parking availability at Transport for NSW Park&Ride car parks. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Transport for NSW, Sydney Metro, or the NSW Government in any way. "Sydney Metro", "Transport for NSW", "Opal" and related names and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe the locations this site covers.
Data source & attribution
Real-time car park occupancy data is sourced from the Transport for NSW Open Data Hub (Car Park API) and is © Transport for NSW, made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). We display the data with minimal processing by calculating "spots free" as capacity minus the current vehicle count. Any errors introduced by that processing are ours, not Transport for NSW's.
When the site runs without an API connection it shows clearly-labelled demo data, which is simulated and does not describe the real car park.
Accuracy disclaimer
Availability figures come from automatic vehicle counters at the car park entries and exits. They are indicative only: counters drift, some vehicles occupy two bays, accessible and motorcycle bays are counted differently, and data can be delayed or unavailable. A figure shown here is not a guarantee that a space will be free when you arrive. Always follow signage and directions at the car park itself.
No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, this site is provided "as is" and we exclude all liability for any loss or damage, including missed trains, parking fines, towing or wasted travel, arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site. Nothing on this site is professional advice. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the information.
Privacy
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- Favourite car park IDs are saved in your browser on this device. You can remove them using the star buttons. Near me requests location only when tapped; coordinates stay in memory in your browser and are not sent to our server or saved. Clear location or close the page to discard them.
- The app keeps a copy of its own page files (code, styles, fonts, icons) in your browser so it can open without signal. It never keeps parking numbers or anything about you. Clearing the site's data removes it.
- Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps short-lived standard technical logs for security and operations. The app itself stores nothing about visitors.
- The Tallawong page embeds Google Maps. Loading that page connects your browser to Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address and may use cookies under its own privacy policy. Driving directions also open Google Maps.
Acceptable use
Please don't scrape this site at high frequency. The underlying counters only push updates on gate events or every 10 minutes, and we refresh once a minute. If you want the data, get your own free key from the TfNSW Open Data Hub; it is the same source we use.

We may update this page from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
